On February 28, 2016, Priyobondhu launched an open-air school for 31 children from Navoday Basti. Each evening, a designated resource person visits the community to teach the children for three hours. Over time, the initiative has shown a positive impact, with a noticeable decline in the children’s involvement in unproductive or harmful activities. On February 23, 2016, Priyo Bondhu extended support to Bijulee, a young girl living with her two elder brothers. Following the death of their mother, the children's father abandoned the family, leaving them to struggle for survival. Priyo Bondhu took responsibility for Bijulee’s education and basic needs, ensuring she received proper care and guidance. On February 21, 2016, 100 kg of essential food items were donated to Destination , a home for mentally challenged individuals located in Bhagadattapur, Kahilipara, Guwahati. The contribution was made in response to a food shortage at the institution, aiming to support the residents during a difficult period.
