April 14, 2017- Celebration of Rongali Bihu at Destination - Home for Mentally Retarded Persons and Children, Kahilipara, Guwahati.

In a heartwarming celebration of the Rongali Bihu, Priyobondhu organized a special event for the children of Destination - Home for Mentally Retarded Persons and Children, located in Kahilipara, Guwahati. The occasion was marked by a spirit of joy, generosity, and care as we came together to share the festive spirit with those who are often overlooked in society.

A meal program was arranged, and the event featured the distribution of essential items and food, ensuring that the children and residents of the home were treated with love and care during the festive season. The distribution included a variety of traditional Bihu foods, such as Rice, Masur Dal, Sira, Moori, and Pitha. Special traditional sweets like Narikol Laaru and Moori Laaru were also distributed, offering a delightful taste of Assamese culture and festive cheer.

In addition to the food, basic necessities were provided to the children and residents. These included Amul Taaza Milk, Eggs, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Potatoes, Soaps, Phenyl, and Girls' innerwear, ensuring the well-being and comfort of everyone present.

This initiative was an effort not only to celebrate the auspicious festival of Rongali Bihu but also to emphasize the importance of community support, compassion, and care for the most vulnerable members of society. The event embodied the true spirit of the festival, filled with warmth, togetherness, and the collective desire to bring a smile to the faces of those who matter most.
