"Let Us Talk"- Menstrual Hygiene and Management Awareness Program
On December 26, 2020, an impactful session on menstrual hygiene and management was held at 2 No. Mathgharia, Guwahati, under the banner of the “Let Us Talk” initiative. The program witnessed the active participation of over 70 women from the local community, creating a safe and open platform for learning, sharing, and awareness-building around a topic often shrouded in silence.
The session was led by Dr. Nitish Sarma, General Secretary of the Junior Doctor’s Association, who provided valuable insights into menstrual health, busting myths and promoting healthy, hygienic practices. The program aimed to empower women with knowledge, encourage dialogue, and normalize conversations around menstruation an essential step toward dignity and wellness.
