On July 24, 2017, Priyobondhu conducted a flood response operation in North Lakhimpur, extending relief support to several severely affected localities. The relief distribution covered five areas, benefiting a total of 171 flood-affected families.

The areas covered included Bowalguri Jorhatia (36 families), Bogolijaan Jorhatia (7 families), Hatilung (31 families), Bogolijaan Chariali (9 families), and Bogolijaan (88 families). Approximately 2 tons of relief materials were distributed to meet the immediate needs of the affected households.

The relief kits comprised essential food items such as rice, pulses, wheat flour, salt, sugar, jaggery, flattened rice, puffed rice, biscuits, milk, potatoes, and drinking water. In addition, hygiene and sanitation supplies including soaps, phenyls, bleaching powder, sanitary napkins, female undergarments, mosquito coils, and basic medicines were provided. Household and emergency items such as tarpaulins, water filters, buckets, mugs, and candles were also distributed to support safe living conditions during the post-flood period.

This intervention helped address critical needs related to food security, hygiene, health, and shelter for flood-affected families in the region.
