As part of our ongoing commitment to child safety and empowerment, Priyobondhu conducted an awareness program focused on “Safe and Unsafe Touch-Saying a Loud NO” at 2 No. Mathgharia LP School.

The core objective of the program was to educate children about personal boundaries, helping them understand what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate behavior from others. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, the session aimed to equip the children with the ability to recognize unsafe situations, assertively say “No,” and report uncomfortable experiences to trusted adults.

Special emphasis was placed on respecting children's voices and choices, instilling in them the right to bodily autonomy and consent. For the girls in particular, the session included basic self-defense training, fostering confidence and resilience.

A compelling and insightful awareness talk was delivered by Ms. Nimi Borgohain, Chief Clinical Psychologist at GNRC, whose empathetic yet powerful approach resonated deeply with both students and teachers. Her engaging session encouraged open dialogue and ensured that the message of safety and self-worth was heard loud and clear.

This initiative marks another step in our mission to nurture informed, confident, and empowered children who are aware of their rights and are prepared to protect themselves.
