November 26-27, 2016- Empowering Livelihoods through Niche Marketing- Beauty and Wellness Program for Marginalized Girls
In a dedicated effort to promote livelihood, economic empowerment, and self-reliance among marginalized girls, Priyobondhu organized an intensive Beauty and Wellness Program at Gyankonika Apartment, Basisthapur Bylane-3, Beltola, Guwahati on 26th and 27th November 2016, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.
This unique initiative aimed to provide not only vocational training but also guidance, advocacy, and direct exposure to niche marketing strategies-with a focus on creating sustainable income-generation avenues for participants. The program emphasized the importance of tapping into specific customer segments, particularly in underserved areas, by delivering personalized services tailored to meet the exact preferences and affordability of the target demographic.
Niche marketing in this context was introduced as a tool to meet distinct consumer needs, considering parameters such as price sensitivity, service quality, and demographic factors. The training encouraged participants to position themselves as skilled service providers capable of offering affordable and accessible doorstep services, including pedicures, manicures, fruit and gold facials, and threading.
By equipping the participants with both skill and strategy, the program sought to instill a strong sense of entrepreneurial confidence and pave the way for self-employment and dignified livelihoods- empowering these young women to rise above social and economic barriers.
