On October 2, 2017, a public awareness program on hospital cleanliness was conducted at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH). The primary objective of the initiative was to sensitize patients, visitors, and the general public about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and adopting hygienic practices within the hospital campus.

The program emphasized responsible behavior such as proper waste disposal, maintaining sanitation in common areas, and creating a clean and safe environment for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors.
