On October 29, 2017, an awareness program on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) was conducted at Salana Tea Estate, Anjukpani, Nagaon. The program aimed to educate adolescent girls and women on safe menstrual practices, personal hygiene, and the importance of reproductive health.
The awareness sessions were led by Dr. Dharmananda Sarma, Medical Officer of Simonabasti BHPC, Salana, Nagaon, who provided medical insights into menstrual health and hygiene. Additional sessions were delivered by Ms. Ankita Borah, ANM of 2 No. Anjukpani Sub-Centre, and Ms. Rekha Reddy, ASHA of Anjukpani Tea Estate, who shared practical guidance and community-level health information.
The program witnessed active participation from more than 200 adolescent girls and women. As part of the initiative, sanitary napkins were distributed to each participant, ensuring both awareness and access to essential menstrual hygiene resources.
