"We are at war with an invisible enemy, and I cannot sit back. I feel this responsibility deeply."- Archana Borthakur
In this time of unprecedented crisis, when livelihoods are vanishing and food insecurity is rapidly intensifying, our greatest act of humanity is to help those in need, perhaps even someone living next door. Hunger doesn’t wait, and neither can we.
As part of our ongoing COVID-19 crisis response, Priyobondhu reached out to the residents of Hanuman Nagar Basti Slums in Narengi, Guwahati, distributing essential groceries to families severely affected by the lockdown. These are communities that rely entirely on daily wages and have now been pushed to the brink of survival.
We express our deepest gratitude to Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, IPS, Director General of Police, Assam, and Shri I.H. Bora, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Assam, for their swift and generous support in providing food materials and mobilizing volunteer efforts on the ground.
Our heartfelt appreciation also extends to Sri Ratul Pathak, ADC, Sri Bistirna Baruah, AC Kamrup Metro, and Sri Ratan Saud, Director of DIPR, whose presence and commitment on the ground have been truly inspiring.
Special mention and sincere thanks to all those compassionate individuals who contributed essentials your support fuels this mission.
This is not just a relief effort. It's an act of solidarity. As we continue to fight this invisible war, let us protect one another and for in doing so, we invoke the protection of the Almighty.
We are on the ground. We are not stopping.
