Some issues, even today, continue to receive far less attention than they deserve. Menstrual health is one of them. During menstruation, women have specific needs, yet there remains a significant lack of awareness across many sections of society.

With this concern in mind, Priyobondhu took a meaningful step today toward menstrual hygiene awareness. A Sanitary Napkin and Hygiene Kit Bank for women inmates was formally inaugurated at the Central Jail, Guwahati.

It is often assumed that the world inside a prison is a completely different one, a world we rarely pause to think about. Yet we felt the need to understand certain questions: how do they keep their minds well, and how do they care for themselves .. Today’s initiative truly began from that very thought.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Superintendent of the Central Jail and all the authorities for their warm cooperation. The sincere support shown by every official toward Priyobondhu’s initiative has greatly encouraged us to continue working with renewed dedication in the days ahead.

Through this Sanitary Napkin and Hygiene Kit Bank, Priyobondhu will now ensure the regular availability of sanitary pads, menstrual cups, intimate wash, undergarments, and other essentials inside the jail. A substantial quantity of materials has already been distributed today.
