August 19, 2016- Flood Relief Distribution at Hatisar Camp and DEOSRI-VCDC Camp, Chirang

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, Priyobondhu extended flood relief support to the severely affected Hatisar Camp and DEOSRI-VCDC Camp in Chirang district, Assam. The initiative reached out to 112 flood-affected families, benefitting a total of 557 individuals.

Relief Materials Provided-

1. Essential Food Supplies- Rice 25 quintals, Dal 7 quintals, Mustard Oil 60 litres, Sugar, Cidwa, Soyabean, Puffed Rice, Jaggery, Biscuits, Oats, Milk, Tea, Mineral Water

2. Health and Hygiene Essentials- Insect repellents and disinfectants: Bleaching powder, Dettol, Phenyl, Sanitary napkins and innerwear for women, Soaps and toothpastes.

3. Baby Care- Nutritious baby food and essentials

4. Clothing and Bedding- General clothing, Bed sheets, Mosquito nets and coils

5. Educational Materials for Children- Notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, color pencils

6. Medicines- ORS, Paracetamol (PCM), Antacids, Norflox, B-Complex, and other basic medication

This initiative was a part of Priyobondhu’s comprehensive disaster response strategy aimed at restoring dignity, health, and hope among the flood-hit communities in remote and underserved regions.
