Winds of Change- Empowering Women Through Skill and Self-Reliance
In an inspiring effort to uplift the women of Narengi Hanuman Basti slum, a small group of 5-6 women were trained in bamboo broom making during the lockdown, a time marked by hardship, uncertainty, and economic paralysis.
With determination in their hearts and skills in their hands, these women have now taken their first bold step toward financial independence, achieving their very first day of sales. This milestone, though modest in scale, carries profound meaning, a symbol of resilience, dignity, and the beginning of sustainable livelihood.
Building on this success, our next focus is to secure bulk orders that will ensure consistent income for them. To facilitate this, we are preparing to organize a buyer-seller meet, creating a vital market linkage and helping transform a small initiative into a thriving micro-enterprise.
