Another major concern in the slum was the acute lack of access to clean drinking water, coupled with the prevalence of open bathing and open defecation along nearby railway tracks, ditches, and wastelands. Recognizing the serious health and dignity implications of these conditions, Priyobondhu undertook targeted infrastructure interventions. A water reservoir was installed to ensure the availability of clean and safe drinking water for the community. In addition, a semi-concrete bathroom and a semi-concrete lavatory were constructed to promote safe sanitation practices and improve overall hygiene standards within the settlement.
