July 10, 2016- A Health Awareness Program titled “K N O W C A N C E R” was organized on 10th July 2016 at Lanka High School, in collaboration with the Himanta Biswa Sarma Fans Club. The initiative aimed to educate the local community about cancer prevention, early detection, and overall health awareness, with a special focus on women's health.
The event witnessed active participation from around 100 attendees, including students, teachers, and local residents. Notable dignitaries present at the program included Kaberi Borkakoti Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Hojai; Munin Chamuah, Officer-in-Charge, Lumding Police Station; Chao Biton Devi, Principal, Lanka High School; Ashima Mahanta, Advocate; Madan Mohan Dey, Teacher and Social Activist; and Surjya Jyoti Goswami, President, Himanta Biswa Sarma Fans Club.
The program served as a meaningful platform to raise awareness and encourage timely health interventions within the community.
