Flood Relief- Phase 1- Diffloo Pathar, Kaziranga
We have commenced the first phase of our flood relief efforts at Diffloo Pathar, Kaziranga, reaching out to 143 affected families. Each family received a comprehensive relief kit containing food and essential supplies meant to sustain them for 10 to 15 days.
This initiative has been made possible through the generous contributions of our donors and supporters. We express our heartfelt gratitude to each one of you.
We also thank the committed Priyobondhu team and young artists Vreegu Kashyap, Montumoni Saikia, and Rakesh Riyan for volunteering their time and energy for this humanitarian effort.
The relief kits provided included rice, dal, mustard oil, salt, puffed rice, flattened rice, biscuits, tea, sugar, jaggery, soya bean, and chickpeas. Families were also given five litres of water, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, detergent, bleaching powder, and phenyl. Special care was taken for children and women by including baby food essentials such as Cerelac, Enfa Grow, Nestum, and milk, along with sanitary napkins and undergarments. Additionally, mosquito nets, candles, matches, and mosquito repellents were distributed to ensure basic comfort and safety.
This is just the beginning. Together, we continue to stand by those in need.
