On July 26, 2018, Priyobondhu organized a seminar titled “Menstruation Management and Understanding Contemporary Contexts” at Bhetapara Primary Health Centre (PHC), Guwahati. The seminar aimed to gain deeper insights into the ground-level implementation and real-time challenges of the Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Scheme.

The session provided a platform for healthcare professionals and frontline workers to discuss prevailing practices, gaps, and opportunities related to menstrual health awareness and service delivery. Emphasis was placed on understanding the practical realities faced by communities and healthcare providers in implementing MHM initiatives.

A total of 21 health personnel participated in the seminar, including -

1 Medical Health Officer (MHO)

2 Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs)

9 Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs)

1 Surveillance Worker

1 Pharmacist

1 Laboratory Technician

4 Medical Staff

2 Medical Interns

The seminar strengthened knowledge exchange among healthcare stakeholders and contributed toward improving coordination and effectiveness in promoting menstrual hygiene management within the public health system.
