On November 22, 2018, Priyobondhu launched an educational support initiative titled “School Kit for a Child” at JSVN School, Paschim Killing, Khetri. The program was designed to address the challenges faced by economically disadvantaged families who struggle to provide essential school supplies for their school-going children.
Recognizing that education often takes a backseat due to pressing household needs, the initiative aims to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to the lack of basic academic materials. Under this program, students are provided with a complete school kit containing school bags, notebooks, pencils, and other essential supplies required for an academic year.
The primary objectives of the program are to-
Encourage regular school attendance
Instill a sense of self-worth and self-confidence among children
Prevent school dropouts caused by the unavailability of school essentials
The “School Kit for a Child” program specifically serves families who are financially unable to purchase school supplies, thereby supporting children to continue their education with dignity and motivation.
The launch at JSVN School marked the beginning of a sustained effort by Priyobondhu to strengthen access to education and promote equal learning opportunities for children from marginalized communities.
