July 31, 2016- Flood Relief Drive in Majuli and Jorhat Districts (Digholi, Dakhinpat, Alimur)

In response to the devastating floods affecting the region, Priyobondhu organized a comprehensive relief initiative for 260 affected families across multiple villages in Majuli and Jorhat. The objective was to provide immediate support and restore a sense of normalcy to those impacted. The relief materials distributed included:

1. Essential Food Supplies- Rice 15 quintals, Dal 10 quintals, Mustard Oil 45 liters, Sugar, Cidwa (flattened rice), Soyabean, Puffed Rice, Jaggery, Biscuits, Oats, Milk, Tea, Mineral Water, etc.

2. Health and Hygiene Essentials- Insect repellents and disinfectants (Bleaching Powder, Dettol, Phenyl), Sanitary napkins and innerwear for women, Soaps, Toothpaste, Mosquito coils, and Nets

3. Clothing and Shelter Support- Clothes for all age groups, Bedsheets

4. Childcare and Nutrition- Baby food and other baby essentials

5. Medicines- ORS, Paracetamol (PCM), Antacids, Norfloxacin, B-Complex, and other general medicines

This initiative aimed to address not just hunger, but also health, hygiene, and dignity, especially for women and children, during a time of extreme hardship.
