June 12, 2016- A Health Awareness Program titled “K N O W C A N C E R” was organized by Priyobondhu in association with Matrix-DNA at the Sibsagar College Auditorium, Joisagar. The event aimed to educate and sensitize the community about cancer prevention, early detection, and available treatment options.
The program was led by two distinguished medical professionals Dr. Gayatri Gogoi, Assistant Professor, Pathology and Cancer Researcher and Dr. Jolly Rabha, Assistant Professor, Paediatric Hematology-Oncology, both from Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh
They delivered insightful sessions on various types of cancers, including those affecting women and children, highlighting risk factors, warning signs, and the importance of timely diagnosis. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and local residents, marking a significant step toward promoting public health awareness in the region.
