June 5, 2016- On the occasion of World Environment Day, Priyobondhu organized a widespread sapling plantation drive across various districts of Assam, including Guwahati, Nalbari, Barpeta, Morigaon, and Dibrugarh. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote eco-friendly practices among local communities.
Volunteers, community members, and local youth actively participated in the event, planting a variety of indigenous and environment-friendly saplings in public spaces, schools, community centers, and roadside areas. The drive was also accompanied by awareness sessions on climate change, afforestation, and the importance of preserving biodiversity.
This initiative by Priyobondhu not only contributed to enhancing green cover but also reinforced its commitment to sustainable living and environmental stewardship throughout Assam.
