November 13, 2016- K N O W C A N C E R Awareness and Screening Program at Morigaon Shankar Madhav Madhyamik Vidyalaya

In its unwavering commitment to promote cancer awareness and early detection, Priyobondhu, in collaboration with the National Health Mission, Government of Assam, organized a comprehensive health awareness and cancer screening program titled K N O W C A N C E R at Morigaon Shankar Madhav Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Morigaon.

The initiative witnessed the active participation of over 175 individuals, all of whom underwent clinical investigation for potential cancer risks. The screening was meticulously conducted by a dedicated medical team comprising Dr. Biswajit Bayan, Medical and Health Officer from Morigaon Civil Hospital, and Dr. Bansidhar Das. Their efforts were diligently supported by Staff Nurses Mousumi Kurmi and Kabita Gogoi, ensuring smooth execution and care throughout the camp.

The program aimed not only to identify early signs of cancer but also to instill awareness about preventable causes, symptoms, and the importance of regular health screenings. It served as a vital platform for community engagement in the battle against cancer, especially in semi-urban and rural pockets of Assam.
