Priyobondhu Continues Post-Flood Relief Support; Assists 60 Families in Lukhurakhon Village

Lukhurakhon Village, Sivasagar, Assam , 5 August 2026-
Continuing its commitment to supporting flood-affected communities in Upper Assam, Priyobondhu headed by Archi Barthakur, distributed essential relief and rehabilitation materials to 60 flood-affected families in Lukhurakhon Village, Sivasagar, on 5 August 2026.
The assistance package included two mattresses, two pillows, two sleeping mats, two brooms, phenyl, bleaching powder, bathing soap, mosquito repellents, matchboxes, candles, shampoo, undergarments, and sanitary pads for women and girls, dry ration, helping families restore basic living conditions while promoting hygiene and dignity during the recovery process.
Recognizing the importance of protecting rural livelihoods, Priyobondhu also distributed 500 kilograms of cattle feed to support livestock, which remain a vital source of income and sustenance for many flood-affected households.
The distribution forms part of the organization's ongoing Priyobondhu Restoration Project, which focuses on helping communities recover beyond immediate emergency relief through the provision of essential household items, livelihood support, and rehabilitation assistance.
Priyobondhu continues to work alongside local communities, volunteers, donors, and partners to ensure that support reaches those most in need. The organization remains committed to restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and strengthening the resilience of flood-affected families across Upper Assam.
