42 Flood-Affected Families in Signal Basti Receive Support Under Priyobondhu Restoration Project

Strengthening its commitment to post-flood recovery in Upper Assam, Priyobondhu led by founder Archi Barthakur, through its Priyobondhu Restoration Project, continued its rehabilitation efforts by providing comprehensive relief and recovery assistance to 42 flood-affected families in Signal Basti, Sivasagar, on 6 August 2026.
The distribution included essential household items such as 2 pillows, 2 pillow cushions, 1 sleeping mat, 1 bedsheet, 2 Pillow covers, 1 saree, 1 shawl, 1 panty, 1 bra, 2 packets of sanitary pads, 1 dhoti, 1 vest, , 1 gamocha, 1 T-shirt, 1 frock for a young girl, 1 T-shirt and pants for a young boy, 2 pairs of sandals, 1 container of bleaching powder, 1 bottle of phenyl , 1 packet of candles, 1 packet of mosquito coils, 2 bathing soaps, 2 laundry soaps, 2 dishwashing soaps, 2 brooms, Matchboxes ..
The Priyobondhu Restoration Project goes beyond emergency relief by supporting families as they rebuild their homes, restore their daily lives, and recover with dignity. Through sustained community engagement and targeted assistance, the initiative aims to reduce the long-term impact of the floods on vulnerable households.
Priyobondhu sincerely acknowledges the unwavering support of its volunteers, donors, partners, and well-wishers, whose collective efforts continue to bring hope and resilience to flood-affected communities across Upper Assam.
