Priyobondhu Restoration Project Supports 59 Flood-Affected Families in Majgaon

Majgaon, Sivasagar, Assam, 6 August 2026-

Strengthening its commitment to post-flood recovery in Upper Assam, Priyobondhu,led by Archi Barthakur through its Priyobondhu Restoration Project, continued its rehabilitation efforts by providing comprehensive relief and recovery assistance to 59 flood-affected families in Majgaon, Sivasagar, on 6 August 2026.

The distribution included essential household items such as two mattresses, two pillows, two sleeping mats, two brooms, phenyl, bathing soap, mosquito repellents, matchboxes, candles, shampoo, undergarments, sanitary pads, petticoats, for women and girls, half pants for men, and Dermacare medicines to address common post-flood skin-related health concerns.

The Priyobondhu Restoration Project goes beyond emergency relief by supporting families as they rebuild their homes, restore their daily lives, and recover with dignity. Through sustained community engagement and targeted assistance, the initiative aims to reduce the long-term impact of the floods on vulnerable households.

Priyobondhu sincerely acknowledges the unwavering support of its volunteers, donors, partners, and well-wishers, whose collective efforts continue to bring hope and resilience to flood-affected communities across Upper Assam
