On August 1, 2021, Priyobondhu extended a compassionate hand to communities severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent lockdowns.
We distributed dry ration kits and basic essential supplies to 50 theatre professionals, including actors, technicians, and musicians, whose livelihoods were deeply disrupted due to the prolonged closure of cultural venues. Their creative voices, silenced by the pandemic, were met with support and solidarity through this initiative.
In addition, 20 street vendor families, who lost their primary source of income during the lockdown, received assistance to help sustain their households through this difficult period. These families, often living hand to mouth, were among the most vulnerable in the wake of the economic crisis.
This effort reflects our enduring commitment to standing beside those in distress preserving dignity, offering relief, and fostering resilience in the face of adversity.
