COVID-19 Crisis Response- September 26, 2021
In the wake of the prolonged lockdown and its far reaching effects on vulnerable communities, Priyobondhu, with the generous support of the Assam Association of North America (AANA), carried out a vital relief operation on September 26, 2021.
Dry ration kits, along with essential household supplies sufficient to sustain a family for one month, were distributed to 67 affected families in Khetri and Dhupguri areas of Kamrup (Metro) district. These families had been deeply impacted by the economic disruption caused by the pandemic induced restrictions.
The relief drive aimed to not only address immediate nutritional needs but also to offer a sense of stability and dignity during an unprecedented time of crisis. We are deeply grateful to AANA for their unwavering solidarity and generous contribution in helping us extend timely support to those most in need.
