On April 3, 2016, we reached out to 80 children from Bishnupur, Athgaon, Guwahati, who had been impacted by a fire. To help them resume their studies and regain a sense of normalcy, we distributed school bags, pencils, and other essential educational items. Through interactive discussions and active participation, community members learned about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean. On February 28, 2016, Priyobondhu launched an open-air school for 31 children from Navoday Basti. Each evening, a designated resource person visits the community to teach the children for three hours. Over time, the initiative has shown a positive impact, with a noticeable decline in the children’s involvement in unproductive or harmful activities.
