On April 3, 2016, we reached out to 80 children from Bishnupur, Athgaon, Guwahati, who had been impacted by a fire. To help them resume their studies and regain a sense of normalcy, we distributed school bags, pencils, and other essential educational items. The initiative brought much-needed encouragement and hope to the young learners and their families.

On March 6, 2016, we carried out an environmental awareness and cleanliness program at Navodaya Path Basti in Hatigaon, Guwahati. Through interactive discussions and active participation, community members learned about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean. Together, we cleaned the area and encouraged habits that contribute to a healthier and greener living environment.

On March 13, 2016, we visited Medhipara Village in Mangaldoi, Darrang, to conduct a community mobilization and clothing distribution program. With 120 people taking part, the event became a meaningful gathering that not only offered essential clothing to those in need but also helped build a stronger sense of togetherness within the community. On February 28, 2016, Priyobondhu launched an open-air school for 31 children from Navoday Basti. Each evening, a designated resource person visits the community to teach the children for three hours. Over time, the initiative has shown a positive impact, with a noticeable decline in the children’s involvement in unproductive or harmful activities.
